Stage director

An opera singer, actress, and stage director.
She is a graduate of the Paris Conservatory and McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montreal, where she earned her DEM, DNSPM, and Opera Concertist Prize. From 2018 to 2021, Justine performed as a soloist with Opera Fuoco’s “Atelier Lyrique” (a young professional singers' program) under the direction of conductor David Stern. Her roles have included Zerlina, Concepción, Emilia, Cherubino, and Miss Foster.

She has appeared in various recitals at the Opéra de Massy, ​​the Petit Palais, the Musée d’Orsay Auditorium, the Salle Ravel in Levallois-Perret, and the Théâtre Jean-Vilar in Suresnes. In 2022, she also worked with the opera company Les Frivolités Parisiennes as part of the “Académie des Paris Frivoles”.

Alongside her career as an opera singer, Justine trained as an actress in the professional program at Le Foyer, studying under Arnaud Denis, Béatrice Agenin, Maxime d’Aboville, and Axel Blind.

In 2018, at the Théâtre Le Funambule in In Paris, she played the role of Camilla in Jocelyn Fiorina’s play “Coups de feu sur la rue Saint Roch” and performed as Lisette in Marivaux’s “Le Jeu de l’amour et du hasard” at the Théâtre de Nesle. In 2019, she appeared as Sophie in “Le Repas des fauves”, adapted by Julien Sibre at the Théâtre Clavel.

She trained in stage direction by working as an assistant on various opera and operetta productions (including “L’Heure Espagnole” by Maurice Ravel and Franz Lehár’s “The Merry Widow” with Binge Festival Opera in Poitiers in March 2019, alongside soprano and director Sophie Marin-Degor). She also assisted director Benjamin Prins on his musical and theatrical production “Crazy Kids Cabaret” at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, as well as Arnaud Denis on Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” at the Théâtre Hébertot in Paris in the autumn of 2021.

In 2021, she directed her first production, in which... She also plays the female lead in Eugène Labiche’s “L’Affaire de la rue de Lourcine” with the troupe Les Modits, co-founded with Oscar Voisin in 2019, a production acclaimed by critics for its modern approach to the text, its inventiveness, and its energy. The play enjoyed considerable success at the Théâtre du Lucernaire in December 2020 and January 2021, and was subsequently revived in April and May 2022.

In 2022, Justine played the role of Éliante in Molière’s “Le Misanthrope” with Thomas Le Douarec’s company, performing in Paris as part of the “Mois Molière” at the Grandes Écuries of the Château de Versailles, and later at the Avignon Festival (Théâtre des Lucioles).

Justine serves as artistic director and stage director for the opera section of the “L’Eze Harmonie” Festival, the inaugural edition of which took place in June 2022.

She is directing the second production by the company Les Modits: “Milady” by Margaux Wicart, a work loosely inspired by the character Milady de Winter from Alexandre Dumas’s novel “The Three Musketeers”.

In the autumn of 2023, she played the role of Cecily Cardew, the second female lead in Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest”, directed by Arnaud Denis, alongside Evelyne Buyle and Delphine Depardieu at the Théâtre Hébertot in Paris, followed by a tour of around twenty performances.

In June 2023, she will take on the role of Célimène as part of the “Mois Molière” festival at the Grandes Écuries of the Palace of Versailles, as well as at the “Les 3 Coups de Jarnac” festival with Victor O’Byrne’s company. She will also perform again at the 2023 Avignon Festival in Thomas Le Douarec’s productions of “The Misanthrope” and “L’Affaire de la rue de Lourcine” at the Théâtre des Lucioles.

In 2024, Justine will direct her company’s third production, Beaumarchais’s “The Barber of Seville”, in which she will also play the role of Rosine. The show will run for 63 performances at the Théâtre du Lucernaire. Concurrently, since 2024, she has been directing the Saint-Maur municipal theater troupe, staging classics such as Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap”.

In June 2025, she will participate in the “Eze Harmonie” festival for the third consecutive year, performing the role of Anita in Bernstein’s “West Side Story”.

She is joining the cast of “The Imaginary Invalid” (directed by Tigran Mekhitarian); she will perform in the production at the Théâtre du Chêne Noir during the Avignon Festival in July 2025, followed by a tour.

She will be directing a production for young audiences in Paris for the start of the 2026 season. She will also return to the Théâtre du Lucernaire starting in February 2026 for a revival of “The Barber of Seville”, which will also be performed at the Théâtre du Petit Louvre during the Avignon Festival in July 2025.
